Odealim, a leading national player in insurance brokerage and real estate financing, today announced the acquisition of JBL courtage, a local broker specializing in insurance products for property management professionals, developers and condominium managers. With this latest external growth operation, Odealim has established a presence in the Grand Ouest region, and with JBL courtage aims to create the first insurance services platform for real estate professionals in the region, which until now has been absent from the group’s territorial network.

Established in 1989 in Nantes (44), JBL courtage has established itself over the years as one of the key players in the Greater West of France, working closely with the region’s real estate professionals. Today, over 99% of its customers – property managers, developers and condominium managers – renew their trust in JBL courtage every year, enabling it to record over 8 million euros in intermediated premiums, with annualized growth of 20% over the last five years. By acquiring JBL courtage, Odealim is bringing into its fold a leading player in the market, as well as the number one broker in Western France in the Garantie des Loyers Impayés (GLI) market, with 45,000 lots insured. The Group intends to capitalize on this valuable territorial anchorage to strategically establish itself in the region and develop its own influence. This will in turn benefit JBL courtage, which can leverage Odealim’s powerful network to strengthen partnerships with insurers in the market and accelerate its own national growth.  

Digital to enhance the customer experience

Under the impetus of Charles de la Chapelle and Laurent Lhermenier, JBL courtage embarked on its digital transformation very early on, with the aim of combining the best of both worlds, while preserving the human dimension that the 17 employees strive to nurture on a daily basis for the firm’s 400-plus customers. JBL courtage’s development, based on a digital and human strategy, relies in particular on two platforms:

  • LeBonLoc, designed to help property managers manage and monitor their rental properties
  • Rassurcopro, designed to enable condominium managers to manage the insurance of a portfolio of buildings.

Thanks to the digital expertise of JBL courtage’s teams and the enhanced connectivity of its tools with business editors, the merger with Odealim will help to further the group’s objective of simplifying the user experience.
